Heather Farms is a public garden and education center that was established in 1972. The 6-acre gardens are home to a set of lush gardens, including a renowned Rose Garden. The Contra Costa Water District also offers a program for Grades 3-5, teaching students about water conservation and the important role that gardens play in protecting our watersheds. And finally, via enjoyable activities like bird watching and plant scavenger hunts, the Preschool Program: Nature Explorers enables young children to learn about the wonders of nature.
