The Pretend City Children’s Museum is a nonprofit children’s museum located in Irvine, California. The museum features a child-size interconnected city with 17 interactive exhibits designed to engage children’s curiosities and imaginations. The establishment opened in August 2009 and has since been visited by over 1 million children and families. In addition to the city exhibits, it also offers a variety of educational programs, special events, and field trips. The local management is dedicated to providing children with opportunities to explore, imagine, and discover the world around them. The facility has interactive exhibits that simulate real-life scenarios. The featured exhibits include an amphitheater, art studio, beach, construction site, cafe, farm, emergency services station, gas station, marina, dentist’s office, doctor’s office, home, UPS store, library, grocery store, toddler park, and service station.

With exhibits that cover everything from the beach to the farm, the museum offers a wide range of opportunities for learning and discovery. The construction exhibit allows children to learn about the process of building, while the emergency services exhibit gives them a chance to pretend to be firefighters or paramedics. The mind and body studio is a great place for children to explore the workings of their own bodies, and the grocery store is a perfect place to learn about healthy eating habits.

This location offers much more than just a space for kids to play. They offer developmental screenings, cultural activities, classes, and field trips that all focus on education.
